Hello again to the world of blogging. When I started this blog, after attempting several others first, posting once or twice and never logging on again, I decided this one would not fail.  And yet it kind of has, in that I took a solid 4 month break.  But it is perhaps on the road to recovery (lets hope).  There are however, going to be some changes.  First it started out as a style blog, and now is making a major transformation, which I welcome with open arms.

So here I am, 4 months out of school, and beginning to miss it.  I never would have thought the day would come, but it goes to show that I really loved what I was studying.  For the past week I have been missing my psychology (and mostly my psychopathology) classes more than ever, which lead me to The Psychopath Test.

I picked up this book today when I went to visit the bookshop during my lunch hour.  After burying my head in the “psychology” section for quite awhile – it was all so tempting – I couldn’t resist a title about psychopaths. Since then, I haven’t wanted to put the book down.  In fact, the entire time I have been writing this, I’ve been considering throwing in the towel and digging my nose back into the book.  It’s a tasty combination of witty writing and a truly interesting topic.

My sister is a huge tea fanatic, but I had never really gotten all that into it.  Don’t get me wrong, I’ve always liked it, but I never had the desire to go buy myself a bag of loose tea – until I met Magic Moon.  Ever since the first time I tried it, that sweet, delicious smell has been floating around in my mind.

Now that I have work at 8 am each day, I wake up to usually below freezing temperatures craving something warm to drink.  I tried coffee for a week, but quickly became revolted by it when around 2 in the afternoon I could still smell that strange coffee smell seeping from my clothes, ick. Enter Magic Moon, a delectable black and green tea mix with the most enticing scent.  Guaranteed to brighten even the darkest (and coldest) of mornings.

Alright, it has come to my attention that I have completely failed with blogging of late.  I assumed, stupidly, that graduating college meant all the free time in the world… WRONG! After a short but sweet 2 week break I found myself working 40 hour weeks. Something that college just doesn’t prepare for!

Yes, I am lucky enough to have gotten a great job – which I am very thankful to have. But I can honestly say, the real world is exhausting.  So this is my attempt, though it is completely random, to get back to blogging.  Hey, you’ve got to start somewhere right?

As I will be moving (yes.. AGAIN) into a new apartment soon, I’ve been super into furniture and home decor lately – though it has always been something I love.  So the remainder of this post will be dedicated to my very cohesive (as I like to think) inspiration.  And this time, I am determined to stick to it and not purchase a single piece that doesn’t work.

DSC_0014 DSC_0021Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all of my readers! Thankfully we got to experience another wonderful white Christmas this year – the benefits of living in Colorado. This year I am thankful for so many things – being with my family, graduating college, and so much more. On top of all that, I now have a Nikon 1 V1, meaning more (and better) images for blogging – something I have been long awaiting! Naturally, I had to experiment with it all morning – taking photos of everyone’s gifts and my new LVGkndness iPhone case.  Hope everyone has a great day and be sure to cherish your time with your families!

Santa came early this year and brought me something I’ve been lusting over for years – a black leather coat.  Since it arrived, I’ve worn it everyday, so I can tell this is going to get a fair amount of use. With a thick sweater underneath, it’s actually quite warm as well.  As winter finally introduces itself (just a little bit late this year) wearing all black is becoming more and more appealing.  But then again… it always it.

Photo on 2012-12-18 at 12.15Time has not allowed me to take good photos or write good posts lately, and it would seem as though I have been MIA for about a week or so now.  As of Thursday however, I will be a college graduate and will therefore have all the time in the world to devote to LVGkndness. As for now, this will have to do.  Since winter has apparently decided to skip Boulder this year, many of us are still wearing fall apparel – which is fine because I do like fall clothes.  But seriously? It is December 18 a snow storm or two would be greatly appreciated right about now.

Enough about the weather, I want to know everyone’s opinions on leopard print pants.  I have been debating whether or not I like them and I finally caved and bought some.  I think the interesting zipper pockets finally swayed me. What do you say? Yea or nay to leopard pants?

DSC02303I’ve spent the past couple months in search of a new facial cleanser and cream to use.  It’s not that I have been disappointed with everything I tried, I just never found something that I was really all that excited about until I discovered Yes to Carrots.  All of their products are very natural, which I like.  The smell is also to die for.  I have yet to try any of the other Yes To… products (i.e. Yes to Tomatoes or Yes to Blueberries), but so far I have found just what I was looking for – a product line that gives me soft and moisturized skin (and hair!).
